Mini-Documentary is a Love Letter to NYC’s Oldest Kosher Lunch Counter

“B&H Dairy: A Home for Everyone”

June 30, 2020 (New York, NY) –“You must come here, you gonna sit down, we gonna take care of you with our heart, with our love,” says B&H Dairy co-owner Ola in the just released @EatTonightNYC mini documentary, “B&H Dairy: A Home for Everyone.”

Produced by recent NYU 2020 grads, food lovers and East Village residents, Antonio DiMeglio and Lianna Rada, the ten minute short is no less than a love letter to B&H Dairy (established in 1938), one of the last and oldest kosher dairy vegetarian lunch counters remaining in New York City.

“The goal of our Eat Tonight NYC mini documentaries is to tell the stories of New York City’s hidden gems,” say the duo, “These are not just about the food, but about the passion and history that goes into making an NYC restaurant an underground success story. B&H embodies these values perfectly, and it was an honor to interview Ola, Mike, and Leo so that we can share their personal stories along with the storied history of the restaurant.
