Hired in-house as VP Publicity & Marketing at Welcome Books (distributed by Random House) due to the success of my freelance campaign for “Gay In America: Portraits by Scott Pasfield,” for which I placed features in OUT Magazine, Huffington Post, numerous local LGBTQ media, CNN, and Gawker (500,000 views in 4 days) and booked a national tour.
I’d discovered the book on Facebook and hunted down Scott to express my interest in presenting the book to the media. We met in Union Square for a coffee on a cold Fall afternoon. I walked him to his next meeting, which was with a publisher (Welcome Books) he hoped would pick up the book. They did and he recommended they hire me to do the press.

In 2013 Welcome Books was downsized and in 2014 was sold to Rizzoli and I returned to Popular Publicity.
