The final screening for “Trophy Boy,” the short film directed by and starring actor Emrhys Cooper was held at the BGDQD (Bureau of General Services – Queer Division) event space at the New York City LGBT Center this past Saturday night.
A colorful crowd of Manhattan personalities turned out for the screening, which raised nearly $2000.00 for Center. Among those in the audience were actor Charlie Carver (“The Boys in the Band”), nightlife personality and hostess Iman Le Caire, Randy Jones of The Village People, New York City television legend Robin Byrd and celebrity stylist Seán McConnon.
Following the screening there was a short Q&A during which “Trophy Boy” actor Donal Brophy announced that a development deal has been signed to turn “Trophy Boy” into a TV series.
